Eco Challenges

Since Yangshuo has grown in popularity international interest has steadily grown for the area especially in relation to sports events and adventure tourism. Various multinational companies have staged events in Yangshuo including The North Face Asia Challenge Series which was organized by Seyon Asia Limited a company from Honk Kong that specialize in organizing races and various adventure travel events in the Greater China area. They have extensive international experience in organizing these events and races personally designing the courses and formulating event logistics’ plans. The Yangshuo Mountain Retreat makes for a perfect venue from which to base these kinds of events. In the heart of the countryside with excellent climbing routes, mountain running trails, kayaking and caving to do there is rarely such a great mixture of world class terrain for outdoor activities and sports events as in Yangshuo. In March/April of 2008 The North Face were back in Yangshuo with some of the worlds best climbers including Lisa Rands. They came to try their skills on the foreboding Karst Peaks that make the area such a Mecca for climbers from all over the world.
